Vancouver IBC Tanks was founded by a team of environmental enthusiasts who saw an opportunity to reduce waste by giving used IBC tanks a second life. Starting from a small warehouse in East Vancouver, we began collecting and cleaning used containers.
Word spread quickly about our quality reconditioned tanks. Local farmers and small manufacturers became our first regular customers, appreciating both the cost savings and environmental benefits.
Recognizing that many tanks needed more than cleaning, we invested in repair equipment and training. Our new repair services extended the lifespan of tanks that would otherwise be discarded.
Outgrowing our original space, we moved to a larger facility in Richmond. The new location tripled our processing capacity and allowed us to expand our inventory.
We obtained certification to process and sell food-grade IBC tanks, opening up new markets in the food and beverage industry. Our rigorous cleaning protocols met all health and safety standards.
To provide complete service to our customers, we launched our own transport division. This allowed us to offer pickup and delivery services across the Greater Vancouver Area.
When COVID-19 hit, demand for sanitizer and cleaning products skyrocketed. We played a crucial role in the supply chain, providing tanks for local sanitizer manufacturers.
Our commitment to sustainability was recognized with the BC Green Business Award. We achieved a 95% recycling rate, meaning almost no tank material ends up in landfills.
Today, we serve over 500 businesses across British Columbia. We continue to innovate, exploring new ways to extend the life of IBC tanks and reduce environmental impact.
