It's not recommended to stack different sizes. The corner posts need to align properly for safe stacking. Stack tanks of the same size only.
Which size is more common?
The 275 gallon size is more common and typically easier to find in used condition. However, both sizes are readily available.
Is there a price difference between sizes?
Yes, 330 gallon tanks typically cost 10-15% more than 275 gallon tanks. However, you get 20% more capacity, making them more cost-effective per gallon.
Will both sizes fit through a standard door?
Both sizes have the same 40" x 48" footprint. They'll fit through most commercial doorways but may not fit through standard residential doors.
How do I know which size I have?
Measure the height. 275 gallon tanks are 46" tall while 330 gallon tanks are 53" tall. The capacity is also usually stamped on the data plate.
